Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Rejuvenating injections are a non-surgical treatment for reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

The active ingredient is botulinum toxin type A which has been used successfully in cosmetic treatments and in treating medical conditions. It prevents muscle contractions thus reducing muscle activity during facial expressions that can cause fine lines and wrinkles.

The results can be seen within a week but usually it takes 14 days to achieve the full effect.

FAQs

BOTOX – HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

Jane will discuss your treatment goals with you and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatments for you. The actual injection process takes about 10 minutes. Does the treatment hurt when having it done?

Some patients report that the treatment feels like a pinch. Jane will apply an anaesthetic numbing cream to the treatment area to ease any discomfort you may experience.

WHEN WILL I SEE VISIBLE RESULTS?

You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting up to 4 months – 6 months. After your treatment, you can resume your day as normal. There is minimal downtime when having Botox injections.

WILL I STILL HAVE SOME MOVEMENT/EXPRESSION IN MY FACE AFTER THE TREATMENT?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a technique-sensitive treatment. You should not lose the ability to show expression when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. It is important to talk to Jane about the results you want from treatment at your consultation appointment.

HOW DO CHEMICAL PEELS WORK?

Chemical peels speed up the exfoliation process, encouraging cell turnover that leaves the skin looking fresh and healthy. The result is exfoliation after a treatment, often seen in the form of peeling or flaking that lasts a couple of days. Ingredients in the peel solution are also working to create new cells that function properly, not only visibly improving the skin, but correcting from within.

WHEN DO I GET A PEEL?

Chemical peels are usually recommended once a month, paralleling the skins natural 28 day cell turnover process for the best results. However, depending on your skin condition you may be advised to have the treatment more or less frequently.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A CHEMICAL PEEL?

• Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
• controlled oil production and fewer breakouts
• diminished discolouration and a more even skin tone
• reduced inflammatory response
• increased cell turnover process
• overall brightened skin tone
• soft smoother skin

DOES A CHEMICAL PEEL HURT YOUR SKIN?

PCA skin peels are formulated with unique ingredient blends that work with your skin to allow for comfortable treatments without sacrificing efficacy. The result is increased cell turnover and fresh healthy skin is revealed.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE AND IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

The treatment takes 45 minutes and there is minimal downtime. Everyone peels differently and the amount of visible peeling you experience after the treatment does not determine how effective your treatment is.
