INVISIBLE BRACES

Show off your smile, not your braces!

At Abbey we understand our adult patients often don’t want to straighten their smile using traditional metal braces. Often your smile is too important in your professional life and or when you are socialising to wear metal braces.

Grainne has undertaken advanced training to enable Abbey Dental to offer adult orthodontic treatments.

If you’ve ever thought about how improving your smile could help you to feel more confident, we can help! With this Orthodontic technique you can have the smile you want, without traditional, metal braces.

We can choose which braces will best suit you. Click on one to find out more.

What is the ClearSmile system?

Clear aligners are a series of removable, clear orthodontic retainers that very gently exert forces on teeth to make them move a certain direction. They are very comfortable to wear and very discreet so many of our own staff have been treated with them - feel free to ask them! They are provided in sets of four to six at a time and generally are worn for a minimum of 20 hours a day for a week before changing to the next aligner - at the end of this set of aligners , the movement is reassessed by the dentist and further moulds taken for the next set of aligners.

Is ClearSmile Aligner system suitable for adults?

Yes ClearSmile treatment is, in fact, designed only for adults.

Who should I see if I am interested in ClearSmile treatment?

Conall and Dr Grainne MccLoskey are qualified to provide clear aligner treatment.

How long does treatment with ClearSmile Aligners take?

The time for clear aligners treatment depends on the amount of tooth movement required. For straightforward cases, it's normally 9 months with more complex cases taking 2 years or more. A little edge bonding and tooth whitening is normally carried out at the end of treatment
